The KeyDrill Telescopic Connector (KTC) is a tool used for real time communication between your MWD tool and a third-party collar-based tool. It not only establishes the connection but also translates the communication to work seamlessly with the MWD tool.
Contact Us to Learn MoreThe KTC module is designed for rig floor connection of two independent measurement modules that are anchored to the Drill Collar or Sub. A typical application for this connection is when making up a MWD tool (with a top mount Pulser) to collar-based tools such as a Resistivity tool or Rotary Steerable tool. It can be ordered with stroke lengths of 6” – 36” depending on the application (drill collar length variations). The overall length is dependent on stroke and the style of end connections that are chosen. A Translation Board can also be integrated in the module to convert data streams between modules (eg. CanBus or Uart to Qbus).
